Fees

DR7 Medical Centre is a private billing centre. Medicare cards must be presented before each consultation. 

Please be aware that DR7 does have a 'missed appointments policy'.  If you are unable to make your appointment, please provide as much notice to the centre as possible so that your appointment can be allocated to other patients.  DR7 may charge patients should they fail to appear for their appointment or fail to provide adequate notice.  Thank you for your understanding.

Making Payments

Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding Diners and AMEX cards). All workers compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company.

Appointments

Walk-ins

We normally require people to make a booking but we can sometimes help if you walk into the medical centre. Priority is given to people who have made a booking. 

 

Appointments

Our appointment system caters for urgent, non urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative healthcare. If you need more time with your GP, please arrange an extended consultation when booking your appointment. Urgent appointments will be seen by the next available GP. Please advise reception if you believe you require an urgent appointment. Urgent appointments will be triaged by the nurse on duty.

 

DNA Policy (Missed Appointments)

Due to patient no shows, DR7 Medical Centre has implemented a missed appointments policy. Our practice may charge a fee when a patient does not turn up for an appointment and has not contacted the Practice to cancel the appointment in order for it to be allocated to another Patient.  

All fees are subject to individual Doctors.

A DNA occurs when:

•             an appointment is not attended;

•             the Patient has not contacted the Practice in advance to cancel it or

•             where the cancellation is so late (30 minutes or less) that it makes it impossible to allocate that time to another Patient who needs treatment.  We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

 

Waiting Times

Sometimes GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues. We apologise if you’re asked to wait and thank you for your patience.

Home Visits

If you are a regular patient and can’t travel to the medical centre, your GP may be able to visit you at your home. This is at the discretion of your GP.
