Camberwell Road Medical Practice Fees & Appointments

Fees and Payments

Camberwell Road is a Private Billing Medical Centre.  Fees may vary due to the length and complexity of a consultation and are determined by the GP.  Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding Diners and AMEX cards).

Please be advised from October 1st 2020, all telehealth appointments will be billed privately. You will be contacted following your appointment to settle the account.

Some Doctors may choose to bulk bill pension card holders or their own patients experiencing financial difficulty, at their own discretion.

Bulk Billing may be available to existing Pensioners or concession card holders, on presentation of a current Medicare card, however this is done at the discretion of the GP.

Medicare cards and concession cards must be presented before each consultation.

Workers compensation patients must provide a claim number each time they present for a consultation.

Making Payments

Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding Diners and AMEX cards). All workers compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company.

We normally require people to make a booking but we can sometimes help if you walk into the medical centre. Priority is given to people who have made a booking.

Our appointment system caters for urgent, non urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative healthcare.
If you need more time with your GP, please book a long consultation. Urgent appointments will be seen by the next available GP. Please advise reception if you believe you require an urgent appointment. Urgent appointments will be triaged by the nurse on duty.  Standard appointments are 15 minutes.
