Our clinic aims to provide a professional and caring service for the early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancers.  Our Doctors also provide skin cancer awareness and prevention advice.

A full range of diagnostic and treatment services for skin cancer is available including cryotherapy, biopsies, surgical excisions, skin grafts, skin flap repairs, curettage and diathermy and topical treatments.  Clinical photography is also available.

Surgical treatment is done under local anaesthetic.

Bulk billing is available for Government concession card holders, and for procedural surgery.

Sun activated Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a topical photosensitizer for the treatment of actinic keratosis.

It is an option for the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK) and is a one-off treatment.  The time of skin irritation is minimal, around 14 days.

Phlebology – the diagnosis and treatment of Peripheral Venous Diseases.   The main aim of phlebology is to treat varicose veins – including visible veins, symptomatic veins and the complications of peripheral venous disease.

Dr Sobotta is trained in the use of:

Microsclerotherapy for the treatment of telangiectasia and reticular veins (spider veins) and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy for the treatment of larger incompetent veins of the lower limb such as long and short saphenous vein incompetence.

Treatment options for varicose veins include compression garments, surgery, sclerotherapy, laser or radiofrequency ablation or glue occlusion.
