Dr Solomons was the Director of Emergency Services at Sydney Hospital 1979-1983.

He was a member of the Medical Advisory Board NSW Branch Royal Flying Doctor Service from 1979-1986.

Dr Solomons is married and has lived in Mosman since 1978.  He has four children and with his wife has been actively involved in a wide range of community services and local educational, sporting and charitable activities.

Dr Solomons has been in General Practice in Mosman since 1983.
