We use high technology equipment, ” SIAscope” which is an imaging tool designed to help improve the diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions. The procedure consists of placing an imaging handset on a pigmented lision. During this time the skin is scanned with harmless visible light. The data collected is processed by the SIAscope, which deducesd elements of the skin. The scanned pigmented skin lesion/s are stored in the computer for future comparison. The doctor uses this scanned information as an aid in diagnosis of skin lesions.
