Fees
Dee Why General Practice offers reduced fees for pensioners with a health care card and Veterans’ Affairs card holders.
Telehealth appointments may no longer be only bulk billed. Therefore patients may be charged a private fee for their telehealth appointments.
Referrals and Scripts may no longer only be bulk billed. You may be charged an out of pocket fee for this service. Please allow up to 48-72 hours.
Please check with reception or speak with your doctor if you are unsure about any fees. Fees are charged at the discretion of the individual GP. Thank you for your understanding.
Medicare cards and concession cards must be presented before each consultation.
Please be advised that there will be a slight fee increase by the 1st September 2022. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you may incur a fee of up to $85. This must be paid before another appointment is scheduled.
Making Payments
Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding Diners). All workers compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company.

Walk-ins
Until further notice, we are no longer accepting walk ins due to the current safety measures in place at the practice.
Appointments
Our appointment system caters for urgent, non urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative healthcare. If you need more time with your GP, please book a long consultation. Urgent appointments will be seen by the next available GP. Please advise reception if you believe you require an urgent appointment. Urgent appointments will be triaged by the nurse on duty.
Waiting Times
Sometimes GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues. We apologise if you’re asked to wait and thank you for your patience.
Home Visits
Home Visits are available at the discretion of the Doctor, to regular patients of the practice who reside within a 5KM radius of Dee Why General Practice. Fees will apply.
