About IPN
Company History
Independent Practitioner Network Pty Limited (IPN) is one of Australia’s original founders of corporate general practice. The company was established in 1999, as a small group of medical centres known as Foundation Healthcare.

In 2002, the company was renamed as IPN.  After a strong period of growth as an ASX listed company, which included the acquisition of Endeavour Healthcare and Gemini Medical Services, IPN was acquired by one of Australia's largest healthcare companies, Sonic HealthCare Ltd in 2008. Sonic is the third largest diagnostic service provider in the world, and the largest in Australia.
IPN strengthened its occupational health footprint in 2010, acquiring Prime Health Group.

In 2011, the IPN network now includes over 190 modern, multidisciplinary medical centres located around Australia which facilitate over 7 million patient consultations each year. We are now the trusted business partner of over 1,500 dedicated General Practitioners, and employ over 2,500 healthcare professionals.
